Renault Group up 11.9%

Time 1:07 pm, October 28, 2011

renault-logoRENAULT Group has reported a 11.9 per cent increase in revenues and a third quarter unit sales record.

Total sales in the quarter amounted to 632,412 units – up 6.7 per cent – and revenues came to €9,745m, up 11.9 per cent on the same period in 2010.

Renault says due to supply constraints coming to an end, the French brand has been able to work through a large order book, hence the large delivery numbers.

However, those supply constraints have had their impact on European sales figures – Group sales were down 4.4 per cent in Europe.

Looking ahead, Renault says: ‘As a result of its order book in Europe and strong international sales momentum, the Group expects to post higher sales volumes and revenues than in 2010,’ said a press release.
