AN EMPLOYEE at a car dealership in Gloucester is celebrating 25 years of dedicated service to the business.
Sales executive Steve Brinn is the longest-serving member of the team at Wessex Garages on Mercia Road and has been recognised for his commitment to the company at a special presentation ceremony.
Paul Edwards, general manager at Wessex Garages, said: ‘We are extremely grateful for the dedication shown during the past 25 years and I would like to thank Steve for the years of service he has given Wessex Garages and we look forward to many more years ahead.
‘He is well-known by our customers and is an integral part of our team. Visitors to the car dealership rely on his experience, knowledge, help and advice when they are making decisions on buying a new or used car.
‘We presented Steve with a thank you card and £100-worth of Tesco vouchers.’
Brinn, who lives in Gloucester, started working for the company on April 27, 1991. Originally based at Wessex Garages in Hereford, he then relocated to the Gloucester branch when it opened on Mercia Road in March 2007. He has continued in the role of sales executive during his entire time at the company.
Brinn added: ‘I can’t believe I have been with Wessex Garages for 25 years. The years have just flown by. It’s amazing how much the car industry has changed during my time in the sector and it is fantastic to see that we are now a dealership which sells electric cars.
Wessex Garages is a privately owned company that specialises in new and used car sales across South Wales and the South West.
