THERE aren’t many sales staff who would willingly hand over their hard earned commission without a fight – but that’s exactly what one dealer group’s workforce has done.
Sales people at Car Dealer Magazine Used Car Awards winner Big Motoring World – which has sites in London and Kent – handed over their commission from sales during a busy weekend at their sites to the Kent Air Ambulance raising a whopping £4,994.
Owner of the firm, Peter Waddell, told his local paper: ‘Customers are not just buying a car, they’re contributing to saving someone’s life. I’m no stranger to the costs of running a helicopter as the company owns a Eurocopter which plays a pivotal role in the company’s growth strategy.’
Air ambulance head of corporate relations, Cheryl Johnson, added: ‘This donation really will make a difference to the charity’s life-saving work.’
