300508sko.jpgSKODA has created 18 jobs in the Midlands, with the opening of a new dealership.

Central Skoda Birmingham opened this week on the Tyburn Road, following a £1.5m investment.

Innovations there include a priority servicing scheme, which reduces servicing costs as vehicles get older. There is also a tyre, exhaust and MOT centre on site.

A full range of new models is housed, with over 100 used cars on site, too. It’s a pretty big development, alright.

Retailer Principal is IMI Fellow Mike Byrne. ‘The Skoda brand keeps growing due to its focus on customer satisfaction and I’m really pleased to be a part of that. The product range is also expanding as the brand’s reputation continues to thrive, so I’m excited about the future.’

Byrnes kid brother also owns two Skoda dealerships, in Bedford and Letchworth.

‘You could say that Skoda is in my blood,’ adds Mike. ‘I have had plenty of support and advice from my brother, for which I’m very grateful.’
