TRUST Group UK has opened a brand new Skoda dealership in Wolverhampton.
The motor group officially opened its new Skoda premises on the Cannock Road, which was previously unoccupied. The site is set to undergo a full refurbishment early next year in line with Skoda’s corporate identity.
Founded back in 2006, the Trust Group currently holds Volkswagen and Skoda franchises from five different dealerships across Wolverhampton, Redditch and Stourbridge. The new Skoda outlet will create nine new jobs.
Managing director Andrew Hockedy, said: ‘We’re absolutely thrilled with the new dealership, which is an asset acquisition from Auto Sales, Bilston. We’ve put a new team in place, creating nine jobs, and headed up by brand manager Robert Blackham.’
Blackham added: ‘It is a thrill to be here from the beginning because it feels like you own it from the ground up. We’ve already had a very positive response from local customers and I believe that our location suits the people of Wolverhampton very well. This new dealership provides us with a real opportunity to look after our Wolverhampton customers perfectly.’
Blackham has worked in the trade since he was 21 for a number of different brands, but admitted that being new to the Skoda brand was a challenge.
‘It has been really hectic at work and at home with a team fairly new to the product. But we have a tried and tested the aftersales team from Trust Group delivering customer satisfaction second to none, and a managing director who believes that the customer is at the centre of what we do.’
