webuyanycarcomWe Buy Any Car – the car buying website – has been listed at number 25 in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

The list charts Britain’s fastest growing private technology companies and We Buy Any Car’s inclusion follows a fantastic rise in sales for the firm.

Despite the annoying TV adverts, the site generated sales of £315.1m in 2010 – compared with £52.3m in 2007.

The company – founded by brothers Noel and Darren McKee in 2006 – is based in Rochdale and claims to buy an incredible 100,000 cars a year.

It was demerged from UK Car Group last year and now has 120 branches across the country where sellers can drop off their cars.

‘Those cars are then sold on to dealers and franchise networks,’ explains The Sunday Times report. ‘Sales have grown 82 per cent a year aided by catchy television advertising and by the company’s own valuation software.’
