Used car supermarket group HPL Motors has opened its fifth site after announcing impressive profit figures earlier in the week.
Car Dealer reported yesterday (Dec 11) that the firm had made a pre-tax profit of £4.93m for 2025 and the firm is now looking to grow once more.
The outfit has thrown the doors open to a new state-of-the-art facility in The Wirral, with bosses backing the site to enhance customer access across Merseyside.
HPL was recently named Used Car Supermarket at the 2025 Used Car Awards and the subject of the new site came up after the win.
Dan Jackson, sales manager at MPL Motors, told Car Dealer: ‘The business is absolute madness but we love it.
‘We go to work every day and we enjoy our jobs. This is something that means everything to us, with everything that we put into the business. It is very well received.
‘We are currently opening our fifth site over in the Wirrall and will look to keep growing and hopefully there will be a few more sites to come in the future!’
Confirming the opening, a spokesman for the used car supermarket group added: ‘HPL Motors has announced the opening of its fifth retail location, marking a significant milestone in the group’s continued expansion across the North West.
‘The new Wirral site represents the second store launch in just twelve months, following the successful opening of the Stockport showroom last year.
‘The new Wirral facility is expected to enhance customer access across Merseyside and the surrounding areas, offering a large selection of used vehicles, comprehensive aftersales support, and the customer-focused retail environment for which HPL Motors is known.
‘With five sites now operating and a robust platform for future growth, HPL Motors is consolidating its position as one of the North West’s leading automotive retailers.’
