JAGUAR dealers can expect lots of interest in the new Jaguar XFR – it’s the fastest Jaguar ever!
The four-door saloon has stunned the world, by recording a remarkable 225mph top speed at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Incredibly, this is no tuned up special. Rather, it is a road going model with the most minimal of changes!
Jaguar reprogrammed the ECU, modified the air intake and exhaust, and altered the supercharger settings.
Otherwise, everything else – including all the internal engine components and the six-speed automatic gearbox – was unchanged.
The Jaguar XFR then went on to record a staggering all-out maximum of 225.675mph.
The XFR debuts Jaguar’s new 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing 510bhp and 625Nm of torque. The road-going model can hit 60mph in 4.7 seconds; it is electronically limited to 155mph.
Instead, Jaguar focuses on everyday flexibility. 50-70mph? That takes just 1.9 seconds…
Officially the fastest Jaguar ever, this record-breaking run by the XFR beats even that of the famous XJ220 supercar.
Just the tonic for dealers, when they take delivery later in the year…
