FRESH from boasting a 10 per cent sales increase, Dodge has also announced strong retained values for its new Journey people-carrier.
The Ford S-Max rival will retain, according to EurotaxGlass’s, 41 per cent after three years.
Which, incidentally, is also the same as the popular Ford achieves.
That’s despite the Dodge undercutting it on price, and offering a vast level of standard equipment.
Or is it because of this fact? As EurotaxGlass’s Jason King explained, ‘competitive list prices indicate that the Journey will be a serious rival for its key competitors.
‘As the marque’s first MPV offering within the UK, the Journey is a unique addition to the current Dodge line-up, and elevates the brand to a more mainstream positioning within the automotive market.’
There’s a 5+2 seating layout inside, rear doors that open 90 degrees, three-row climate control and either a 2.4-litre petrol engine (which few will buy) and a diesel that does 43.5mpg.
The latter is also available with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Prices for the depreciation-dodging Dodge start at £16,995.
