peter-vardy-vauxhall-sales-up-35VAUXHALL car dealer Peter Vardy has revealed a sales increase of 35 per cent over the past year.

The big rise has earned the group’s Motherwell and Kirkcaldy car dealers the honour of first and second places on the Vauxhall Chairman’s Circle figures.

This ranks more than 400 Vauxhall car dealers on a range of criteria, including sales performance and results from a mystery shopper.

Yet another Peter Vardy retailer, the firm’s Perth outlet, was also well in the top 10, scoring sixth place.

Needless to say, chief executive Peter Vardy was delighted. ‘The Vauxhall franchises have seen remarkable sales growth this year, and our BMW and Mini dealerships have also performed extremely well this year, despite some of the challenges that the industry is facing.’

So, what’s his secret? A strategy, he explained, of ‘building the business on honesty, integrity and excellent service.

‘Our people are the foundation of our business – we have made huge efforts to attract the very best in the industry, and it is clearly paying dividends with these latest results from the Chairman’s Circle.’

The results are all the more impressive when you consider Peter Vardy has been in business for just three years. Mind you, even last year the Motherwell firm was placed 21st in the Chairman’s Circle rankings…

… the 50 percent increase in sales this year has seen it leap to the number 1 slot! Kirkcaldy also boasted a 30 percent sales rise, while the Perth retailer upped sales by a quarter.
