Other victors include the Citroen Berlingo Multispace XTR for the under £16k category, Hyundai’s massive van-derived i800 for the £16,000-£20,000 sector, and the Mercedes C 320 CDI estate for cars over £32k.
Last year’s winner, the Ford Mondeo, was back – and emerged victorious in the £25,000-£32,000 category.
In the 4×4 sector, VW’s Tiguan and Volvo’s V70 AWD both won their respective categories.
Testing took place at Bedfordshire’s Millbrook Proving Ground, from a pool of 38 car entered by 19 manufacturers. Jason Plato presented the awards at the RAC Club in Pall Mall.
Don’t underestimate the significance of the awards, either. The Caravan Club boasts 370,000 family members…
