Vauxhall leader changes

aldredVAUXHALL managing director Duncan Aldred will take on – in addition to his current position – the role of chairman in 2012.

As chairman and managing director, Aldred will oversee all Vauxhall operations, including the company’s HR function and personnel in the UK plants at Ellesmere Port and Luton.

Appointed managing director in January 2010, Aldred has introduced the firm’s lifetime warranty, its Four Nations sponsorship, and brand new models.


Aldred will take up the position on January 1, 2012 and, at the same time, Vauxhall’s current chairman will take a new role.

Bill Parfitt will take the title of director, Government affairs and public policy, and will continue to pursue his key role in Government liaison and as negotiator and supporter of growth in the UK supply chain.
