BRITISH Car Auctions is re-opening for business in Tewkesbury, following the temporary closure last year as a result of severe flood damage. The centre, located in Northgate Lane, was closed for seven months while repairs and refurbishment took place following the severe flooding in the area.

The auction centre will open in the week commencing April 21, and the first sale at the refurbished BCA Tewkesbury will be held on Friday April 25 at 10am.

The first car to be sold on Friday April 25 will be donated by BCA to raise money for the leading local community flood relief fund. All the proceeds from the sale of this car will be donated in support of those residents and members of the local community most disadvantaged by the floods.

BCA’s UK Network Operations Director – and Car Dealer columnist – Simon Henstock said: ‘While we are delighted to have our Tewkesbury centre back in business, we are acutely aware that many residents are not so lucky and have yet to return to their homes.

‘We think it appropriate that the first car we sell is donated by us with all the proceeds going to those local charities who have provided essential help to local residents following the floods.’

Businesses wishing to enter vehicles for sale at BCA Tewkesbury can contact the management team of Nick Allison, Branch Manager, Andy Mills, Operations Manager and Trish Wilkins, Business Admin Manager on 01684 292 307.
