Used car sales were down by more than a third in November compared to the previous month as the national lockdown restricted dealers.
Car Dealer used car data partner CarCondor.co.uk found that 114,894 used cars were sold by the biggest dealers in the UK last month, compared to 178,746 in October.
Arnold Clark topped the list of the Top 50 most stocked used car dealers for the month with 27,671 used cars in stock.
The group had more than twice the number of cars of second placed Evans Halshaw, which had 11,092 in stock, followed by Sytner in third with 9,223.

Web traffic during November was also down nearly 10 per cent compared to October for the big used car dealers.
In November dealers received around 28m visits to their websites compared to 31m the month before.
Surprisingly the fastest selling used car during the month was the Ford Ranger in November. In October it was the Mercedes Benz GLA Class.
CarCondor.co.uk founder William Gomes said: ‘In previous years a 10 per cent drop in sales was average for November, so with -35 per cent things are worse, but given the situation we are in and compared to the first lockdown dealers should be congratulating themselves in making the changes to allow customers to continue buying.
‘Traditional dealers really gave online only dealers some stiff competition in November with their share of growth reducing dramatically due to traditional dealers catching up quickly.’
CarCondor.co.uk estimates revenue made by the top 200 dealers from used cars equated to £1.92bn during the month compared to £2.98bn the previous month.
