FORD has launched its revised Fiesta van range – following the facelift of the passenger car on which it’s based.
The Fiesta van now comes with a choice of three different engines: a 1.25 petrol assembled at their Bridgend plant in Wales, and two diesels put together in Dagenham – a 92bhp 1.6 and brand new 72bhp 1.5.
Both diesels now achieve sub-100g/km CO2 outputs, while an ‘Econetic’ version is also available. Utilising a ‘specially modified’ version of the 1.6TDCi, it manages to output an impressively low 87g/km, and achieved 85.6mpg on the combined cycle.
Ford are also boasting ‘segment-first’ technologies for the van, including their new ‘SYNC’ in-car connectivity system, carried over from the Fiesta.
Active City Stop, which brakes the car when it detects a slow-speed accident is about to occur, and programmable MyKey systems are also included – while it can also be specced with usual Fiesta additions like a rear-view camera and 17-inch alloys.

‘Both local tradesmen and urban delivery fleets will appreciate its sharp, professional looks, while relying on its versatility, dependability and exceptionally low running costs.’
The new Fiesta van is available to order now, and customer deliveries will begin by the end of the month.
