The deal will allow Yahoo Cars visitors to quickly search Auto Trader’s entire classified range, and perform searches without leaving the website.
After browsing available models – with details on mileage, age and model displayed- full adverts can then be viewed directly on the Auto Trader website.
Auto Trader suggest the new tie-in will help them reach nine out of 10 online customers – strengthening their hold on the market.
‘We are very excited to welcome Yahoo! into our partner portfolio, our 10th online partner,’ commented group director Nathan Coe.
‘Our online portfolio reach now extends to 90% of internet users, which is fantastic news for Auto Trader customers giving them unrivalled reach and response. The Yahoo! Cars channel has long been a favourite destination for many car enthusiasts and we are proud to provide our market-leading search to Yahoo!’s audience.’
The partnership coincides with another milestone for the firm – a reported 11 million unique visitors in October last year. This, says Auto Trader, puts their market share at 49 per cent – following their intensive ‘the one’ advertising campaign.
