What’s in store for the automotive industry?

Monday, May 21 at 3.30pm

Jeremy Hicks, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover UK
Mike Hawes, chief executive of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders
Nigel McMinn, chief operating officer of Lookers Group
Richard Jones, managing director of Black Horse

New car sales are in decline, manufacturers are warning they’ll move out of the UK and Brexit looms – but is it all that bad? Used cars are seeing an increase in sales, the type of cars being pushed to consumers is changing and the way we sell is changing.

What’s the future of the physical dealership?

Tuesday, May 22 at 3.30pm

Justin Benson, head of automotive at KPMG
Andy Barratt, managing director and chairman of Ford of Britain
John Tordoff, chief executive officer at JCT600
John O’Hanlon, CEO of Waylands Automotive

A KPMG survey earlier this year found that 75 per cent of automotive executives thought that by 2025, half of dealerships would disappear. But is the forecast really that bleak? And what does the future really hold? This panel session will take place at 3.30pm on Day 2.
