TODAY, 23 of the cars that took part in this year’s Bangers4Ben rally run to the challenging Nurburgring went under the hammer at Aston Barclay in Chelmsford.
Including Aston Barclay’s generous £1,500 donation, altogether the auction raised a fantastic £10,530 for the automotive charity BEN, and only six cars sold under the £200 mark.
This year’s two most sought after cars in the auction house were Samson Motor Engineers’ Toyota Celica GT, which sold for a round figure of £1,000, while Citygate Colindale’s Volkswagen Golf went for £1,450.
