THE motor trade loves awards. Award ceremonies provide us all with a chance to give each other a well-deserved pat on the back and allow the winners to pause for a moment to reflect on their achievements.

And why shouldn’t that be the case? We all work incredibly hard in an industry that has become a Great British success story over the last few years – against a background of troubled economic times and a whole host of other challenges.

So – if you think you’ve done well this year, why not nominate yourself in our Used Car Awards?

Last year was the awards’ inauguration and it turned out to be a real cracker. Twelve months on, we’ve added more categories, gained the support of Black Horse and once again organised the whole thing in association with Mike Brewer of Wheeler Dealers fame.

We’ve worked hard to ensure the event isn’t all about being glitzy but is a real celebration of the great and good of the used car industry. Held at The Brewery – a fantastic location in central London – on December 2, it’s sure to be a night to remember. Having said that, there will be a fair amount of glitz – it’s Miami Vice-themed – and it is Christmas after all.

There are huge PR opportunities too. Enter yourself for an award and if you win, you’ll have access to photography and press releases from us so you can tell the world how great your business is. And you’ll get a shiny trophy to display in your dealership.

So how do you go about nominating yourself then? Well, you have the rest of today to get your thinking caps on and fill out our very simple nominations form.

Click here to be taken to our form and fill out the awards you think you – or any other dealer – should win. We want as much information as possible on why you or someone should win so don’t be afraid of tapping away – we’re used to reading lots of words!

Need a final reason to be involved? Take a look at the video below from last year’s event – it’s a night you really won’t want to miss.
