CAP appoints new man

ian_rendleCAP and Dealerweb have announced two new and influential appointments within the motor industry.

CAP has promoted Ian Rendle (pictured) to the position of General Manager – in a move that ‘reflects CAP’s constant drive for improvement’.

Rendle has been described by CAP as a ‘specialist in customer relationship management’, and since he joined the company in April 2006, Rendle has been working as client service director.


Rendle is best known for creating a clearer and fairer pricing policy for CAP’s customers, and came to the business from Volvo UK; growing the maker’s the manufacturer’s corporate sales to more than half of all UK Volvo registrations.

Managing director of CAP, Richard Whittles, said: ‘Ian’s energy, passion and commitment to CAP’s customers has been pivotal to strengthening the company and I wish him every success in this important new role.’

Meanwhile, Dealerweb has busy appointing new staff – Mark Andrews as regional director for the south east comes to the company from e-Goodmanners.


Prior to his three-year period with e-Goodmanners, Andrews has had 21 years worth of experience in the motor industry holding the position of sales manager with several manufacturers.

Martin Hill, managing director of Dealerweb, said: ‘Mark’s new appointment also allows us to focus on ensuring that our current customers continue to receive the high levels of customer service that they have come to expect. We welcome Mark and look forward to working with him to develop and improve the company’s success.’
