The Car Dealer Power awards are ‘right up there with the most prestigious’ in the industry.
That’s the view of Auto Trader – a serial winner of Car Dealer Power Awards since they began a decade ago – as submissions for this year’s awards ticks over the 1,000 mark.
‘From a supplier perspective, the Car Dealer Power Awards are right up there with the most prestigious,’ says Marc Thornborough, Auto Trader brand director.
‘The fact they’re voted on by retailers and those businesses that are using our products every day is incredibly humbling and gives the recognition a huge amount of credibility in the industry.’
Winning a Car Dealer Power Award can bring great marketing opportunities as a Power logo is highly regarded in the industry.
Auto Trader has won numerous Power Awards in the past 10 years, and its most recent was scooping Used Car Valuations Provider of the Year in 2019.
‘We’ve used our Used Car Valuations Provider of the Year 2019 win in a lot of our marketing ever since for the simple fact that we know they’re trusted and recognised by the people that matter most to us,’ Thornborough added.
Voting opened for the 2020 awards on July 1 and so far there has been over a 1,000 entries submitted.
They’re the only gongs in the industry voted for by dealers and winning one is no easy feat.
The voting closes at the end of this month with the shortlist being revealed on September 7.
And, for the first time, the Power awards ceremony will be held digitally with the winners being revealed in a special video presentation on September 30. Gongs will then be delivered to the winners.
Award winners and highly commended firms will have the opportunity to highlight their special achievements in a dedicated Car Dealer Power section on this website, instead of attending the awards presentation like previous years.
Access to the winners logos, a special winners video and promotional story featured in the Car Dealer Power Awards section will all be offered to the successful firms. Full details will be released to the shortlisted businesses nearer the time.
