TODAY’S the day of CDX 2019 – the expo for the motor trade that you can’t afford to miss!
With a huge hall packed with exhibitors, many of whom will be offering unmissable deals and offers, and keynote speakers and workshops galore, you simply MUST be there!
You’ve probably noticed that the Car Dealer website is packed with content about the big day – and CDX even has a dedicated site of its own that contains all you need to know.
But here we answer a few of the key questions delegates will want answered before they head off to the event.
Where is CDX 2019 being held?
Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, Hampshire. The building is situated in ETPS Road and the postcode is GU14 6TQ.
Arriving by road: Situated just off the A325, the centre is accessible from the M3 (junction 4) and A31. Please follow signs for event parking. There is space for 3,500 cars and parking is free. Once you have parked your car, signage will direct you to the CDX welcome desk.
By rail: Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre is within easy reach of four railway stations: Farnborough Main, Farnborough North, North Camp and Aldershot.
By air: Both Heathrow and Gatwick are within easy reach of the centre, while the privately-run Farnborough Airport – one of Europe’s leading business airports – is next to the venue.
How do I get a ticket?
Bona fide members of the motor trade can still obtain FREE tickets to the event. Simply click here, complete the straightforward registration process and obtain your ticket. Print it out, bring it with you and it will be inserted into a lanyard at the CDX welcome desk tomorrow.
What if I forget my ticket?
Not a problem. If you have completed the registration process, we can print it out for you tomorrow and admit you to the exhibition hall. You can turn up without having registered beforehand, too, but gaining access to CDX might take a little longer while we complete the formalities for you. Do it in advance and gaining entry will be a breeze.
What time does it all get under way?
The expo will be open from 8.30am. With dozens of trade stands, plus fantastic extra features such as the Dealership of the Future, Franchising Zone and Business Hub, it’s best to arrive early to take it all in.
The action on the famous Car Dealer Live Stage kicks off at 9am with a presentation from Spencer Scott of CarGurus. That’s also the time our packed programme of workshops gets under way, with Sytner Group’s Fiona Cottle delivering a session on making your dealership a place people want to work in.
For full details of the day’s events, and to plan which sessions you’d like to attend, head over to the CDX website – but to whet your appetite, what about going to our Women in the Motor Industry session?
See who has the best new business idea in the Dealers’ Den! Or see what you can learn as three of the UK’s top dealer bosses give us their view from the top!
What if I feel peckish?
Two large areas in the expo hall will be serving delicious food and hot and cold drinks throughout the day. You won’t be able to miss them – the biggest one is slap bang in the middle of the expo hall – so you won’t go hungry or thirsty.
I’ll probably need to charge my phone…
Be our guest! There are ample charging points at the aforementioned food and drink stands and as you will probably want to be online too, there’s free wi-fi throughout the expo hall.
How else can I find out what’s going on?
Every visitor to CDX will get a complimentary show guide but if you can’t wait until tomorrow, download it here!
New for 2019, we have an app to help you plan your day and even help you locate specific suppliers you would like to talk to. You can get hold of it via the App Store or Google Play.
You still haven’t answered my question!
Sorry! Give the Car Dealer magazine team a call on (023) 9252 2434 and we’ll provide all the info you need.
