WHEN Jeremy Clarkson left Top Gear, petrolhead Chris Evans was instantly installed as the favourite to replace him.
The Radio 2 breakfast show host immediately ruled himself out, saying he was not interested in the role.
But maybe he is after all…
He was on Tim Lovejoy’s Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch show yesterday, and was asked about Top Gear. Evans revealed he was due to take part in a Top Gear film tomorrow.
Evans said: ‘We’re making a Top Gear – we’re doing a Top Gear sequence with an independent production company and we’re going to see how it goes.’
The news didn’t go down to well with Clarkson, James May or Richard Hammond…
