Couple take up new challenge in West Yorkshire after moving from South Africa

Time 10:00 am, April 12, 2016

HUSBAND and wife Russell and Kate Naude have started work at a dealership in Bradford after leaving their previous jobs in the automotive industry in South Africa.

The pair emigrated from South Africa in 2015 following eight and seven years respectively in their previous motor industry roles. Following their 8,500-mile relocation to their current home in Pool-in-Wharfedale, Kate successfully applied for the role of service advisor at Clive Brook Volvo in September last year.

Husband Russell has now followed after the Clive Brook team learned of his experience in automotive sales, even achieving the accolade as South Africa’s number one Hyundai salesman, and he was soon offered the position of sales executive.

Russell started his career in the motor trade in South Africa in 2007, while Kate started her automotive career the following year, gaining crucial experience in the service department as a service advisor.

Kate said: ‘As soon as I walked through the door at Clive Brook Volvo, I immediately found a warm and inviting atmosphere and I thought it would be a lovely place to work. I was ecstatic to find out I had been offered the position of service advisor.’

Russell added: ‘My wife put in a good word for me during her interview, which must have planted the seed.

‘I’m relishing my new career at Clive Brook. I’m thoroughly enjoying learning about a different product and I’m extremely grateful to Clive and the rest of the team for giving me this opportunity.’

Managing director Clive Brook said: ‘It’s certainly a long way to come and work at Clive Brook Volvo! We are delighted that Russell and Kate have joined the Bradford team.’
