TODAY sees the much-anticipated launch of the new 18-plate, as dealers across the UK hope to break out of the doom and gloom of decreasing new car sales.
From midnight last night, car dealerships all over the nation were able to start handing over cars with the latest registration plate to buyers who have been eagerly waiting.
With new car sales in the doldrums due to a lack of market confidence and customers being confused by the government’s policy on diesel cars, the 18-plate has the potential to provide a bit of a boost for the industry.
Below, we’ve collated a selection of tweets from dealers showing how they’re launching the first of their cars to bear the 18-plate and handing them over to the lucky customers.
If you want to show off how your dealership is making the switchover, tweet us @CarDealerMag using #18plate and you may be included!
