English Ford sprouts ‘taches for Movember

Time 10:03 am, November 11, 2013

Movember English FordIT’S that time of year where everyone is keen to sprout unusual moustaches for the Movember celebrations, especially the sales team at English Ford in Poole.

While male members of the team have joined in the fiesta of facial hair growth, motability specialist Kathy Malloch, her colleague Charlotte Dibben and other female staff members are determined not to be left out of the fun.

That’s right, the ladies of English Ford are sporting false moustaches in order to help their male colleagues keep their focus when it comes to growing hairy upper lips.

To coincide with the Movember celebrations, sales manager Alan MacDonald has also persuaded the managing director of parent company, Foray Motor Group, Chris Yoxon, to start a new charity fund.

A special November event will see the dealerships part with £50 from the sale of every used car and the team hopes the charity fund will grow as fast as their new facial hair to raise their target of £2,000.

Andy Barratt, sales director at Ford of Britain, paid a visit to English Ford and sportingly donned a false moustache as a gesture of support.

MacDonald said: ‘Growing moustaches is an easy way to support the fundraising for such an important cause and helps us make customers aware of these male cancers, too.

‘We have to explain why we don’t look our usual suave selves and so far everyone has been very supportive. Hopefully, by the end of the month we will have both moustaches and a pot of charity cash we can be proud of.’
