a2f67ed6-e1d0-4c43-9447-5be40d8b8064EVANS Halshaw in Harrogate, north Yorkshire has opened a new Seat dealership.

The franchise joins Renault and Dacia at the Evans Halshaw site, part of the Pendragon group. Six new jobs will be created within the dealership, which has space for 80 used cars in addition to the full array of new Seat models.

It marks the first time Pendragon has partnered with the Spanish brand.

Trevor Finn, chief executive at Pendragon PLC, said: ‘This new partnership is greatly important to our company. As Evans Halshaw has a long heritage in Yorkshire, it’s the perfect starting opportunity to build our relationship with Seat and its award-winning cars.’

Nina Douglas, dealer principal at Evans Halshaw Harrogate, added: ‘We are very confident that this new dealership will be successful, and already there has been plenty of interest shown in the excellent deals available on Seat’s award-winning cars.’

Seat made 3,983 sales in April this year – its biggest April since the Spanish company began its UK operations in 1985, and a 33 per cent improvement over April 2012.
