ONLINE vehicle marketplace findandfundmycar.com launched today with a multi-million-pound promotional campaign on TV and radio.

The site, which is run by MotoNovo Finance and describes itself as being ‘for dealers, by dealers’, has a number of features designed to ensure it is dealer-friendly.

The weekly advertising rate for findandfundmycar.com is £1.50 per week plus VAT. It’s also paid per space, not per car, so once a vehicle has sold, another one can be uploaded to the same space straight away.

All leads and sales are directed straight to the dealer, meaning they earn from both the finance and the vehicle.

At launch, there were 75,000 cars from more than 1,600 dealers, and the company said it hoped those numbers would grow as the site picked up momentum.

Phil Morgan, pictured, head of business, said: ‘The key to launching a new brand is all about high impact and a “recency and frequency” of brand noise that embeds the name into the consumer’s sub-conscious.

‘With every dealer penny spent being reinvested into the new service, findandfundmycar.com can become the alternative online classified service that so many dealers have told us they want. At the same time as promoting cars, we are promoting dealer finance. The message to car buyers is very clear: for finance and cars, the dealer is the place to go!

‘The co-operative principle of findandfindmycar.com, where every dealer pays the same amount, where cars are ranked by price not as sponsored cars with an advertising premium – something we do not believe is good for customer transparency – and where we make no money from the advertising, is a ground-breaker. The interest has been huge.

‘Today’s live date will act as a switching point. As dealers see the brand and recognise how it typically creates value and cuts advertising costs, we expect to see a steady growth in consumer activity and dealer support.’
