Free online conference from CarGurus aims to help dealers make most of changing sales environment

Time 11:34 am, October 14, 2020

CarGurus is to hold a free online conference later this month aimed at helping car dealers keep pace with the rapidly evolving sales environment.

Navigate will have industry insiders plus tech experts from other industries, says the automotive marketplace.

There will also be speakers aiming to inspire and empower, plus sessions on high-level digital marketing strategies as well as tips for digital sales success among others.

The two-day event, which takes place on October 26 and 27, will feature sessions and dealer panels for the UK market as well as global content for all dealers.

Dealers will be able to develop skills and tactics to improve showroom performance, as well as explore new strategies for the rapidly changing consumer climate, says CarGurus.

Among the speakers will be ex-former England rugby union player and coach Sir Clive Woodward, CarGurus founder Langley Steinert, One Price used car superstore dealer principal Cathie Pattinson and Ford Motor Company digital retail experience director Trisha Habucke.

This is Navigate’s second year and it’s open to all dealers, not just CarGurus customers. Last year’s was held in the US but for 2020 it’s gone global – and virtual.

Sam Zales, president and chief operating officer of CarGurus, said: ‘Last year’s successful debut of CarGurus’ Navigate conference proved that dealerships are eager to learn new ways to improve their business.

‘They see tremendous value in getting insight and advice from inside and outside their industry.

‘This event is about learning and engaging on the issues that are currently impacting automotive retail and exploring new strategies for success from a range of perspectives.

‘While the format will be virtual this year due to Covid-19, we are just as excited about the agenda we have planned.’

Also new this year is an auction in aid of automotive charity Ben, with items including one-of-a-kind artwork, memorabilia and luxury gifts.
