GT_FINAL_LOGO_040210GUMTREE.com, the UK’s number one classifieds website, has signed up its 1,000th dealer to its Motors division.

The company says: ‘Gumtree Motors remains the clear number one website for private car sellers by offering dealers the option to load their inventory in bulk as part of its new, tailored professional package.’

Gumtree Motors was setup in October 2013 and has grown to be one of the key strategic priorities for the Gumtree business. The company says one of the key priorities for its motors business has been working to ensure that car dealers can get their cars onto Gumtree quickly and easily.

At the moment, 13,000 cars and 2,600 motorbikes are posted on Gumtree in a day and the Motors category has more than two million monthly unique visitors.

Hook plans to further accelerate overall demand in the motors category by providing dealers with a larger customer base and re-vamping the look and feel of the website to ensure that dealers are taking advantage of the site’s two million monthly unique users.

‘The UK market for used cars is very competitive and we have to stay one step ahead,’ he said. ‘We are committed to our customers – across private sellers and car dealers and we’ll continue to make Gumtree Motors the place to go to buy and sell cars.’
