Hendy Group set to open new Car and Van Store in Portsmouth

Time 8:46 am, June 27, 2018

HENDY Group is set to open a new Car and Van Store in Portsmouth after buying a car supermarket branch.

Previously operated by Unbeatable Car Portsmouth, it is expected to be Hendy’s largest used vehicle operation to date.

The Anchorage Road dealership is currently closed while it undergoes rebranding, refurbishment and restocking, before reopening this coming Sunday.

Up to 500 used vehicles are set to arrive at the store, and in addition to sales, the site will offer full car and van servicing facilities, with a 20-bay workshop, bodyshop and smart repairer.

Hendy Group already has a Car and Van Store in Exeter and is due to open another in Ferndown, Dorset.

Paul Hendy, pictured, chief executive of Hendy Group, said: ‘This acquisition is part of our ongoing expansion plans and will complement our existing Portsmouth operation, which includes successful new and used Ford, Honda, Kia, and commercial vehicle sales and servicing.

‘We are looking forward to welcoming our new team members to the group, and to opening the doors to customers on July 1.’
