Judy Murray’s tennis skills campaign gets a boost at Hardie Motor Group

PEUGEOT is helping tennis players in Scotland improve their skills by giving its backing to the ‘Tennis on the Road’ programme run by Judy Murray, the mother of current Wimbledon champion Andy.

Judy was presented with a Peugeot 508 at Hardie Motor Group Stirling which she will use as part of the initiative.

Working in partnership with Peugeot UK, she has already visited more than 40 schools and tennis clubs around Scotland as Tennis on the Road looks to increase participation in the game across the country, especially in communities where there is limited access to activity.

Judy will visit seven locations across Scotland this year in her new car, which has a distinctive design with signature lighting, accentuated by full LED technology and a boot which is perfectly sized for transporting tennis gear.

Judy said: ‘Tennis on the Road is inspiring and supporting parents, teachers, volunteers and coaches to increase participation in the game.

‘Being able to attend the sessions at the various schools and tennis clubs is really important to me and having the Peugeot 508 will get me, and all my equipment, to as many venues as I can.’

Iain Bolton, dealer principal at Hardie Motor Group Stirling, said: ‘We were keen to play a key role in the Tennis on the Road programme and the Peugeot 508 gives Judy and the scheme additional operational support while on tour.’
