Man crashes Astra into Porsche dealership

Time 10:53 am, March 18, 2016

AN OPEL Astra has smashed into a Porsche dealership in Stade, Germany, after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

According to Carscoops.com, an eyewitness told German authorities that they saw the 60-year-old driver of the Astra drift across on to the opposite side of the Heidbecker Damm road and hit a lamppost and a wall, before accelerating headfirst into the showroom’s window on Ferdinand-Porsche Straße.

Sadly, it was a 996 Porsche 911 GT2 that cushioned the blow – probably the most expensive car in the showroom.

Thankfully no one was injured in the incident, but the driver was taken to a nearby hospital for precaution.

The impact is reported to have cost the dealership in excess of €120,000 (that’s the equivalent of £94,000) in damage.
