MG Motor UK has opened a dealership in Cardigan – making it the third in west Wales operated by the OC Davies Group.
It adds to the group’s existing MG sites in Carmarthen and Neyland, and takes the marque’s presence up to 11 dealer locations across Wales.
The family-owned-and-run OC Davies is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and it said the combination of brand heritage, outstanding value for money and exceptional style had made MG increasingly appealing to consumers.
Morlais Davies, OC Davies managing director, said: ‘It’s been fantastic to see our existing dealerships achieve real success with MG, and we are unquestionably seeing the popularity of the brand go from strength to strength.
‘Furthermore, there is tremendous excitement about forthcoming future product launches, with the arrival of ZS EV and the all-new MG HS generating a lot of interest among our customers.
‘Our Cardigan site now means OC Davies covers the entire west Wales territory and we are looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers into the showroom.’
The Penparc site benefits from five service bays, a modern seven-car showroom and online service booking. The dealership is fully equipped for the ZS EV, with charging points installed and training delivered in line with MG’s hybrid and EV standards guidelines.
David Allington, network development manager at MG Motor UK, said: ‘OC Davies has established a strong presence in west Wales for the brand and we are delighted to welcome the new Cardigan site to our network.
‘This is yet another example of how our existing dealers are enjoying exceptional success with the MG brand and their desire to expand their territories with new sites. We have more new sites to announce very soon and we are comfortably on track to reach 120 franchised dealerships by the end of 2020 – a key milestone in our Momentum & Growth mid-term plan.’
