70853vol_45514_1_5A VOLVO dealership has doubled its workforce in the build up to the opening of its new £1m showroom.

Based in Lincoln, Stoneacre Volvo unveiled its new facility last week where the decision was also made to increase the dealership workforce by recruiting new staff.

The new showroom on Kingsley Road is the first purpose-built Stoneacre Volvo dealership in the UK, after the company’s head office in Doncaster spotted its untouched potential.

Managing director, Steve Morris told This is Lincolnshire: ‘For the past nine months we have been gearing up for this launch and business growth.

‘Earlier in the year we employed 17 more people taking our total team up to 31 with the potential to increase.

‘The investment will allow us to present the brand and provide an enhanced experience for our customers.’

Chief executive at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, added: ‘According to the latest Quarterly Economic Business Survey Lincolnshire businesses have seen three consecutive quarters of growth.

‘Both Stoneacre Motor Group and Volvo UK have recognised how buoyant the Lincoln business economy is, and with the new showroom we will be able to take full advantage.’
