The new dealership in Rayleigh, Essex, offers the full range of Skoda vehicles from the Yeti to the Fabia vRS, and the showroom is the latest example of the family run business’s growth plans.

This latest expansion, growing from eight to nine franchises with the addition of the Skoda brand to the Essex Auto Group family, and the group now employs more 300 local people.

Philip Maskell, chairman of the new Essex Auto Group dealership said: ‘Skoda has been rapidly growing and gathering an extraordinary amount of accolades over the past few years, so it makes sense for us to buy into a franchise that’s as set on success and growth as we are.’

Robert Hazelwood, director at Skoda said: ‘We are investing heavily in developing our retailer network across the UK, and are delighted to welcome Essex Auto Group to our group. As a brand, we have an excellent reputation for second-to-none customer service and we fully support our retailers to make the buying and owning of a Škoda a great experience for all our customers.

‘Our wide range of vehicles is better than ever, winning new awards every month, and despite the recent economic crisis, our sales figures are record breaking thanks to savvy drivers demanding better quality for their money.’
