ROLLS-Royce Motor Cars has announced its now recruiting for the company’s new intake of apprentices.
The successful applicants will join the apprenticeship programme at the end of August 2011 working alongside skilled craftspeople in the paint, wood, leather, motor vehicle, engineering and business areas.
The company’s apprenticeship programme was successfully launched in 2006 and provides people aged 16-24 with the opportunity to train with the Goodwood-based manufacturer. The apprenticeships last for up to four years and combine on-the-job training with studying for nationally recognised qualifications.
The opportunity to join the company following a successful apprenticeship is a possibility but only the best apprentices are selected. The programme has been designed in conjunction with the Learning Skills Council (LSC), South East Economic Development Agency (SEEDA) and Chichester and Northbrook colleges.
Rolls-Royce believes the next apprentices will be joined at the best time possible with record sales in 2010, and high-profile models such as the 102EX electric Phantom wowing the world.

In 2010, 35 young men and women were employed with the company on industrial placements ranging in duration from six to twelve months; even more positions are likely to be available this year. The company also runs a successful graduate programme, with new positions made available each year.
