Time 2:58 am, November 6, 2010

suzuki-awards1SUZUKI dealerships have scooped three prestigious awards at the annual Suzuki GB Guild Awards Ceremony.

Michael Baxter of the GT Garages, Vicky O’Daly of Roadworthy Suzuki, and Martyn Hopkins of Stoneacre won three awards from the Suzuki GB Guild, fighting off over 900 entrants.

Michael Baxter’s Scarborough-based dealership won Sales Executive of the Year, while Vicky O’Daly of Roadwothy Suzuki in Bristol clinched Aftersales Advisor of the Year, while Automotive Technician of the Year went to Martyn Hopkins of Peterborough (pictured right).

Participants were required to take four online assessments, with the results determining a total shortlist of 20 finalists who then underwent a series of practical tests at the company’s Milton Keynes HQ training centre.

According to Suzuki, the competition is one of the ‘best funded schemes in the industry’ and aims to ensure their dealers meet high levels of service.

Suzuki GB’s senior director of sales and marketing, David Stewart, said: ‘The Guild forms an important part of the Suzuki GB distance learning programme.

‘The sales executive category programme of comprehensive training ensures the smooth and efficient operation of all departments within the dealership and ensures our dealers are giving customers the best possible level of satisfaction when making their purchase.’
