Time 10:19 pm, February 17, 2011

tesco_logoCUSTOMERS of Tesco-Tyres.com will now be able buy tyres and earn Tesco clubcard points at the same time.

The announcement effectively means that the 13m customers of Tesco will be able to quadruple their clubcard points on a single purchase with Tesco-Tyres.com.

As reported by Car Dealer last month, the supermarket name has joined forces with online tyre retailer Blackcircles.com to create Tesco-Tyres.com.

Customers can now earn more than 2300 clubcard points on the purchase of Pirelli, Yokohama and Hankook tyres, while double points are being offered on all other brands.

Mike Welch, co-founder of Blackcircles.com, said: ‘We are delighted to be breaking new ground for customers and delivering quadruple points on selected tyre purchases. With the cost of living increasing, we are helping customers to make savings on not just tyres but, through clubcard points, pass along savings on a whole variety of goods and services.’

If clubcard points are now being offered on tyres, will they too be offered on cars? To read and join in the debate – Is Tesco set to sell used cars? – click here.
