THE head of Nismo has promised the firm’s tuned Juke will be the first in a range of hot Nissan models. Read more

MITSUBISHI has announced it will show off its Outlander Plug-in EV at the Paris Motor Show later this year. It’ll mean the Outlander is the first vehicle on sale to be sold with a choice of an internal combustion engine or a plug-in hybrid EV powertrains.


KIA’S Sorento SUV will receive a host of significant improvements when the new upgraded model goes on sale later this year. Read more

THE used van market has plateaued slightly since the market dipped in the April bank holidays but it still has ‘potential’ says the boss of Shoreham Vehicle Auctions.

TWO of the UK’s largest dealer groups have become SAF ApprovedEastern Western Motor Group and Hartwell. It means 27 of the UK’s biggest 30 dealers are now SAF Approved. Read more


SSANGYONG has added a new low priced 4×4 model to its Korando range. The SX £18,795 and features a new low CO2 version of the Korando power unit emitting 157g/km.

CAR dealers performed strongly in March, before many reported the market ‘going quiet’ in April, according to the latest report from professional services provider ASE. Read more

MAZDA is tempting corporate customers with its Mazda6 Business Line version. The corporate-focused model is now available through Mazda Contract Hire for £229.99 per month.

Wednesday, June 20

SKODA has published official photos of its new Rapid. The car will sit between Fabia and Octavia and it set to arrive in Europe in the autumn.

LUXURY car retailer HR Owen completed more than 500 customer test drives at last week’s Canary Wharf Motorexpo, as a result of the largest-ever test-drive programme at the show. Read more

ASTON Martin has revealed its new flagship model the Vanquish. The car replaces the DBS and sports an all-new look and interior, and a highly revised 6.0-litre V12 engine. It can be ordered as a 2+0 or as a 2+2 and is priced from £189,995.

FUEL economy is still more important than emissions to motorists, a new survey by Auto Trader has found. Read more


EXACTLY one year ago the first McLaren MP4-12C was sold, and McLaren opened its very first retailer in the UK. Twelve months later, sales of the 12C have surpassed 1000 and McLaren has expanded its retail network into 22 countries across the globe.

EV charge point provider, Elektromotive Limited, is to create the UK’s largest pay-as-you-go, ‘open source’ network of public access charging stations for EVs. Their target is 10,000 pay-as-you-go charging points across the UK.

A FLEET of Nissan Leafs will be driving around London this weekend June, offering free ‘taxi’ rides. To grab a ride, all a prospective passenger has to do is send a tweet that incorporates the hashtag ‘#6XCHEAPER’ and their chosen destination.

FROM July BMW will introduce a package of new model and engine revisions across its 3, 5 and 6 Series ranges. It’s hoped the changes will ‘significantly broaden’ the firm’s market coverage in the UK.

VAUXHALL has revealed the Corsa ‘Black Edition’. The special edition car is initially limited to 500 units, and features a 1.4-litre 117bhp petrol engine, diamond-cut alloys, and sporty bodywork. It’s priced at £15,995 for the three-door and £16,425 for the five-door model.
