This latest contract means that it is now a decade since The Car People first appointed Experian as its supplier of provenance services in the UK.

Jonathan Allbones, director of The Car People, said: ‘At The Car People we believe buying a car should be as enjoyable and as hassle-free as possible so reducing risk for our customers is key. We have received excellent service from Experian over the past ten years and with 50 per cent of our customers coming back to us, the relationship we have is obviously a great one.

‘Add to this the unique automotive data insight Experian is able to offer us and it is clear to us that they are the best choice in the marketplace.’

Kirk Fletcher, managing director of Experian’s Automotive division, said: ‘We are delighted that Experian has once again received The Car People’s seal of approval. Provenance and mileage checking is an essential risk management component for any used car business, and finding the most accurate and intuitive service in the industry is important. The tenth of year of working together just underlines the quality of our customer focus and products and services.’
