WE like to think the vast majority of our features are successful. But sometimes things do go a little awry.
Take Issue 67 for instance. Next month you’ll be treated to a Mazda special, which didn’t quite come together as we’d hoped. In fact, the whole thing turned into a bit of a nightmare.
The video below is a sneak preview of what you can expect – it provides a behind-the-scenes take on a rather disastrous trip to Ireland.
James Baggott and I were casually minding our own business behind the wheel of a Mazda CX-5 and shooting a video road test on some of Southern Ireland’s narrowest roads, when out of nowhere, a BMW came around a corner and was driving straight at us.
Naturally we screamed like babies. Having experienced a few cock-ups and calamities already, for a few horrible seconds we thought we’d be writing off one of Mazda’s cars. That really would have been the final straw!
