Vehicle movements company Mallock Limited has collapsed into administration after failing to keep up with a formal debt repayment plan that had hoped to save the business.
Mallock Limited, which traded locally as Ecomotive Logistics, now leaves behind a bill of roughly £855,000 to HMRC despite making 12 monthly payments of £22,000 to creditors.
This totalled £264,000, with £256,905 of that going to HMRC. However, it missed a payment in May 2026, which triggered it to go into administration.
The vehicle logistics firm operated from a yard in Bruntingthorpe and had 36 lorries and five trailers.
According to its website, it has worked with dealer groups including Lookers, Sytner, Vertu and Pengradon as well as major German brands, Porsche, BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
The company offers a range of services from trade plate drivers to deliveries using vehicle transporters for car dealers.
Mallock had attempted to streamline its operation in hopes of saving the business, with its staff down to 66 employees from 88.
The documents on Companies House show that it is estimated other unsecured creditors are owed around £83,339.
Mallock Limited entered administration in June and this newly released report now shows the scale of what is owed.
Although HMRC has recovered £256,905 so far, it is still owed roughly £855,000, made up of the balance of a £904,238 preferential claim and a further £207,649 in unsecured debt.
