MITSUBISHI Motors has revealed that its dealer network continues to grow, despite economic uncertainty.
3 recent recruitments have taken the Japanese maker’s UK total to 121 outlets. Many of the new car dealers, says the brand, are in key demographic areas.
The newest Mitsubishi dealers are all multi-franchise operations – Anthony Betts, Souls and Sparshatts Mitsubishi.
Car Dealer’s been given an overview of each dealer…
• Betts is privately owned. Based in Hemel Hempstead, it opened for business in 1999. Mitsubishi says it represents the network’s best traits – ‘a staunch ‘can do’ attitude, where the customer is the most important asset.’
• Souls is family run, and has operated since 1907. Today, it’s sited in Milton Keynes. Andrew Soul said that ‘a new and complete range of vehicles is coupled with a UK Management philosophy that genuinely looks after the best interests and ongoing profitability of the dealers.’
• Sparshatts is a multi-franchise group that started in 1997. The Mitsubishi franchise will operate from the group’s Fareham premises. It is a site that’s been specially developed for Mitsubishi.
Further growth plans are afoot, as the brand gears up for the launch of the facelifted Colt supermini. Plans for an interesting production electric car are afoot, too.
Of course, a key driver for demand remains the Mitsubishi Evo. After our Road Test of the Year, we can completely understand why…
