The Brindley Group is to open its second Omoda and Jaecoo franchise as it looks to ‘invest in the future’.
The automotive retailer has thrown a significant funding into the project, with a new state-of-the-art dealership currently under construction in Wolverhampton.
The site will side adjacent to the dealer group’s existing Mazda and Changan showrooms and is scheduled to open in the Autumn of this year.
Bosses say the move represents a ‘major investment by the group into the future of innovative automotive brands in the region’.
Once complete, the dealership will join Brindley’s existing Omoda and Jaecoo franchise in Cannock.
Confirming the plans, Che Watson, Brindley Group chairman, said: ‘Following the fantastic success of Omoda & Jaecoo both nationally and at our Cannock dealership, we are incredibly excited to announce the development of our second site in Wolverhampton.
‘The growth of these brands in such a short period of time has been exceptional, and we are proud to be a major partner of Chery Automotive, the parent company of Jaecoo and Omoda, as they continue their ambitious expansion across the UK and Europe.
‘This new dealership represents our commitment to bringing innovative, high-quality vehicles to customers across the Midlands whilst continuing to invest in the future of the automotive industry locally.’
Further details regarding the official opening and launch events are expected to be announced later in the year.
The news comes after Brindley also agreed a deal to represent Lepas in Wolverhampton, taking over the premises previously occupied by the local Honda showroom.
The Chery-owned brand is being led in the UK by Omoda and Jaecoo boss Gary Lan, who was named Lepas CEO back in March.
