Nine car dealers make first 50 of Sunday Times Top Track 250 list

THE Sunday Times Top Track 250 list has been released – and nine car dealers have made it into the top 50, with 19 featuring in the complete list.

The 12th annual Top Track 250 league table ranks Britain’s private mid-market companies by their latest sales.

Screen Shot 2016-10-03 at 10.09.41It was released in yesterday’s (October 2) Sunday Times and includes the companies that have experienced the biggest growth during the past year.


Harwoods topped the list of car dealers, and stood at 11th in the list. Its sales for the year ending December 2015 reached £553.2 million.

Closely behind is Helston Garages, based in Cornwall, who ended the year with sales of £517.8 million and were placed 14th overall in the Top Track 250 list.

Third of the car dealers is Car Giant (18th overall), followed by Park’s Motor Group (20th), Peter Vardy (22nd) and Glyn Hopkin (24th).


The seventh highest placed car dealer is Dick Lovett Companies (28th) with sales of £401.6 million; eighth is Lloyd Motors (34th); then come Robinsons Motor Group (38th) and Available Car (58th).
