AUTOGUARD Warranties, a leading provider of warranty and insurance products and services to independent and franchised dealers, is expanding its sales team to meet growing demand for bespoke warranty and GAP insurance products.

Autoguard Warranties has seen dealer demand for its warranty and GAP products surge by 27 per cent over the last 12 months and the company has expanded its field sales team as a result.

Robert Dockerill, CEO, said: ‘We have just expanded our sales team to 20 staff and we are looking to make a further four appointments over the next quarter. We now have good representation across the UK, particularly in the south west, the midlands and the north.

‘We have seen demand for warranties and GAP insurance grow significantly over the last 12 months. Our research shows that GAP products sold through dealers have risen by 28 per cent year-on-year.

‘We are also seeing a growing trend, with consumers opting for a combination of traditional GAP and Return to Invoice products, to fully protect their assets.

‘Over the last three years, we have grown 25 per cent year-on-year and we now work with 900 dealers and provide 60,000 warranties every year, backed by the highest possible levels of service.

‘Our industry experts are experienced in working in the trade – the 10-strong claims team were formerly mechanics and service advisers, which enables them to fully understand what our dealers need.’
