MOTOR dealer group Vindis has promoted Jack Lankester-Bell to be the new head of Trade Parts Specialists and Ducati.
It follows significant growth for Volkswagen’s trade operation (TPS), including a new TPS national call centre in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, and an opportunity opening up at Ducati.
Formerly head of business for Vindis TPS, his new role will see him taking on responsibility for the management, profitability, compliance and smooth running of the Vindis TPS centres in Cambridge and Bishop’s Stortford, the national call centre, and the Vindis Ducati stores in Cambridge and Peterborough. He will have four people reporting directly to him, as well as overseeing a team of more than 60 people.
Lankester-Bell, pictured, who has been with Vindis since 2012, said: ‘I’m delighted to be promoted to the new head of TPS and Ducati. It’s a really exciting opportunity for me personally as I get to delve into the motorbike sector as well as continuing to pioneer our TPS offering.
‘I look forward to continuing working and learning from the passionate individuals at Vindis Group, driving my team forwards to deliver the best and most efficient service for our customers and accelerating growth in 2019 and beyond.’
Vindis TPS covers seven counties, with two large Volkswagen Group parts distribution warehouses, offering a delivery service for all five of the core Volkswagen Group brands.
Lankester-Bell has been in the motor trade since leaving university in 1999, initially selling cars but then moving into more managerial-focused roles, and has represented some of the world’s most prestigious brands, including BMW, Mini, Volkswagen and now Ducati.
Jamie Vindis, managing director for the Vindis Group, which was founded in 1960 by former Second World War Czech Spitfire pilot Frank Vindis, said: ‘Jack has considerable passion and experience in working with our dealerships, so this role felt like the natural next step.
‘I am confident his enviable knowledge will ensure we continue to deliver fantastic customer service across our brands.’
