saab_9_3_convertible_dieselMANHEIM has signed an exclusive three-year contract with Saab GB to provide remarketing services.

In conjunction with its partners C Walton Ltd at Bruntingthorpe, Manheim has signed the deal with Saab’s UK arm to provide an ‘end-to-end service to manage the remarketing of its ex rental, press, demo and management cars to its franchised dealer network’.

Manheim Retail Services will be responsible for imagery, stock locator administration and implementation, while Manheim Remarketing will manage the transfer of vehicles from Bruntingthorpe. Also inspection services will be provided by VQS, and storage and reconditioning facilities by C. Walton Ltd.

Manheim Remarketing will then provide a physical auction supported by Simulcast, CyberAuction and Manheim Direct – effectively meaning that every aspect of the remarketing process will be controlled by themselves.

Craig Gentleman, general manager sales, Saab GB said: ‘This is another step forward for Saab GB becoming a successful independent company. We have changed the way we do business and brought our stock management processes into the 21st century through the use of RMS.

‘With UK sales increasing and customer confidence returning, I am confident that Manheim and its partners at Bruntingthorpe will ensure that all aspects of Saab’s wholesale used car remarketing strategy are implemented to the highest professional standards.’

Manheim Remarketing’s James Leese, Sales Director, added: ‘Saab’s decision to entrust the implementation of its entire used car wholesale remarketing activity to Manheim and its partners at Bruntingthorpe is recognition of our expertise.

‘But perhaps more importantly, it is recognition of the unique range of services that can now be provided at Bruntingthorpe. No one else has this capability.’
