UNDERSTANDING the modern-day digital consumer is an ever-changing and increasingly complex task, especially when it comes to selling cars online. But what have been the key drivers for change, and what could be the key drivers for the future?
These questions and more will be explored by Sun Motors at the Car Dealer Conference later this month.
The used car classified website joins an expert line-up of speakers at Rockingham Motor Speedway on June 20, designed to explore how the automotive industry will evolve and develop in the next six years.
Sun Motors’ David Hawksworth said: ‘The process of buying a car online has changed dramatically in the past six to seven years. We will be looking at how and why that has changed, what consumers are expecting when buying online and how we can work together to deliver the best possible user experience.
‘We’re constantly looking at user behaviour and speaking with potential buyers to see how their car-buying journey has changed since the onset of the internet; from the distances they’re willing to travel, to the ways in which they get a physical feel for a prospective purchase before travelling huge distances.’
Hawksworth added: ‘With over 100 years of motoring journalism, and an array of consumer products that have successfully made the move online, we hope to share some insight as to how we are approaching the world of online classifieds, and how we’re addressing the future.’
